Nhulunbuy (Gove) Hospital Pharmacy Manager Required to Cover Maternity Leave

You know I only put up pharmacy job ads for remote areas or working primarily in Indigenous Health. This job fits both criteria. While Kara is off on maternity leave a pharmacist is required to manage the pharmacy of the 32 bed Nhulunbuy Regional Hospital. The job is for nine months and has a P3 classification which I think corresponds to somewhere between $83-93000 per annum.

This hospital services all of East Arnhem, a small size of land only half the size of Tasmania (if not from Australia think of a remote area about the size of South Carolina). The population (and patients) are mainly Yolngu.

You are the only pharmacist, supported by a pharmacy technician and support from Royal Darwin Hospital Pharmacy Department. The role includes clinical pharmacy, supplying the surrounding remote health centres and management roles including sitting on plenty of committees.

You work 8am to 4:21pm (public service hours) with an hour for lunch. There’s six weeks annual leave, accommodation provided and other goodies.
